Today, Friday February 25, 2025 we celebrate International Mother Language Day at Simbed Learners School. We believe that a child’s mother tongue is a vital part of their identity, culture, and heritage.
Why Teach Mother Tongue?
Teaching children their mother tongue is essential for their cognitive, emotional, and social development. It helps them connect with their roots, develop cognitive skills, and enhance communication with family and community.
At Simbed Learners School, we:
- Offer mother tongue language classes
- Organize cultural events that promote mother tongue use
- Provide language support services, including one-on-one tutoring and language clubs
By promoting mother tongue learning, we aim to preserve cultural heritage, promote diversity, and enhance self-esteem.
