Have you ever wondered how our fathers survived without a smartphone?
How did they listen to the news, send messages to distant lands or type documents?
These seemingly easy tasks which could all be done almost simultaneously with the aid of a smartphone were done using different gadgets ranging from the radio, fax machine and typewriters.
Join us @ Simbed Learners School as we take our students through this history today, 17th May 2022 being World Telecommunications Day. A day set aside to celebrate the constant evolution of one of the most important factors of our lives: communication. The main goal of World Telecommunications Day (WTD) is to highlight the importance of communication and how information travels across the world. It also aims to increase awareness of how crucial communication is in our lives, and stimulate the development of technologies in the field.
Below are some captured moment of how we celebrated the event.
